The most commonly used twin-wall and triple-wall products are now readily available and easy to obtain here in Colorado Springs. Pick-up is free, save on crating and freight cost if your local and able to pick up. Local charges for local deliveries do apply.

Twin-wall products

Multi-wall polycarbonate twin wall sheets are produced in 4mm, 6mm, 8 mm and 10 mm. These products provide high light transmission, good thermal insulation, high temperature resistance, high impact strength (hail resistance) and can be special ordered with min-dew coating which eliminates condensation and water droplets.

Twin wall is the most economical grade of multi-wall sheet available; it comes with a 10 year warranty against yellowing and damage from hail.

Installation tip
Polycarbonate panels are supplied with a protective PE film which should be kept on until sheet is installed. The UV protected side is to be faced towards the sun and is marked with a white printed film, light blue film or a sticker saying Macrolux® multi-wall polycarbonate sheet. Macrolux® crates or sheets should be stored in an area not exposed to the sun, or indirect heat from the sun, which could make the removal of protective film difficult.

Stiff fixing by means of adhesive or putty is to be avoided. Top and bottom ends of a sheet must always be sealed by means of aluminum tape to prevent dust or dirt penetrating inside the flutes. Aluminum tape must be protected with proper polycarbonate “U” profiles.

Triple-wall products

Multi-wall polycarbonate triple wall sheet thicknesses are 6mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm and provide even greater thermal insulation properties than twin wall product.  All triple wall products provide high light transmission, good thermal insulation, high temperature resistance, high impact strength (hail resistance) and can have our min-dew coating which eliminates condensation and water droplets.

While increasing thermal insulation properties, triple wall still lets the light in with a minimal drop of light transmission versus the twin wall product. It is the most economical grade of multi-wall sheet available; it comes with a 10 year warranty against yellowing and damage from hail.

Five-wall products

Five Wall polycarbonate sheet is available in gauges from 16mm, 20 mm and 25 mm. It has a significant improvement in thermal insulation properties over the twin and triple wall while only having a minimal drop in light transmission. While these higher end products are not as frequently used in Horticultural applications, they are available for those unique applications where superior insulation properties are required at a minimal upcharge.

Five Wall has all the standard property performance you would expect from multi-wall polycarbonate; heat resistance, high light transmission, great impact and hail resistance and high thermal insulation values and can have our min-dew coating which eliminates condensation and water droplets and also it comes with a 10 year warranty against yellowing.
